CHICOPEE – Robert J. Stasiowski, 78, of the Chicopee Falls section of Chicopee, was Called Safely Home on Saturday, August 13, 2022. He passed into Eternal Life at home surrounded by all the memories that he loved and cherished. He was born in Holyoke on June 6, 1944, a beloved son of the late Max J. and Eleanor (Maziarz) Stasiowski. He was raised in Chicopee, graduated from Chicopee High School and had lived in Chicopee his entire life. He served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and attained the rank of Specialist Fifth Class. He served with the 1st Army 26th Regiment “Blue Spaders” in the Iron Triangle War Zone “C” in Loc Ninh, An Loc, and Quan Loi, Vietnam and received the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, the Vietnam Campaign Medal with 2 Overseas Bars, the Combat Infantry Badge and the Purple Heart. He was employed as a Baker at the Big Y Supermarkets Bakery and had previously worked at Vincent’s Steakhouse and Rybak’s Bakery. During his leisure time, he enjoyed camping. Above all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He leaves his four dear brothers, Richard A. Stasiowski and his wife, Margaret, of Springfield and Ronald M. Stasiowski, John A. Stasiowski and Michael E. Stasiowski and his wife, Franceen, all of Chicopee; and his many dear nephews, nieces, cousins, friends and extended family members. His Funeral and Burial will be private at Saint Stanislaus Cemetery in Chicopee. There are no visiting hours. His Funeral Arrangements are entrusted to the St. Pierre-Phaneuf Aldenville Chapels, (413-532-9806), 13 Dale Street, Chicopee, MA 01020.
