The world lost a beloved mother, mamaw, sister, aunt and friend on August 24th, 2022. Carol A (Cade) McCarroll of Chesterfield, IN was born January 21, 1942 where she raised her family.
Carol graduated from Highland High School in 1960 cheering the loudest for the Highland Scots. Carol was an exceptional wife, mother and grandmother, but also a secretary, librarian, dental assistant and a school bus driver for Anderson Community Schools. She cared deeply for her family, friends and neighbors. She took everyone in and treated them like family. She loved cooking, knitting, scrapbooking, gardening, decorating, music, dancing, playing games, having a good laugh over coffee with friends, collecting snowmen, celebrating Christmas. Carol belonged to many organizations throughout her life, but she cherished her sorority sisters of Beta Sigma Phi the most.
Carol leaves many to cherish her memory and will be greatly missed by her family who adored her: four children she devoted her love to - Jay (Kelly) R. McCarroll III, Marla Cauliene McCarroll, Monte McCarroll and Amie (Derek Taylor) Puente; five grandchildren, Quenton (Izabel) Puente, Jessica (Ben) Silashki, Shelby Puente, Brandelyn McCarroll and Colin McCarroll; one great-grandson, Jack Silashki; two brothers, Jim Cade and Mark Cade and a sister Lana Cade; her fur-grandkids Scout McCarroll, Brody Puente and Zeke (McCarroll) Puente; and her special close friends, nieces, nephews and several cousins.
She was proceeded in death the love of her life, Jay R. McCarroll Jr and her parents, Jack and Leona Cade.
She always sacrificed her needs for the good of family and enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, family and friends. She was a true and loving mother. Per the wishes of Carol, the family will have a private life celebration.
