Nancy Jane (Costa) Sawyer, 60, of Millis died Tuesday, August 30, 2022 surrounded by her loving family at the Milford Regional Medical Center after a brief illness. She was the beloved wife of William E. Sawyer for the past 42 years.
Born in Boston on April 12, 1962, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Mary (Adams) Costa.
Nancy was a lifelong resident of Millis.
A homemaker for most of her life, Nancy had worked at Roche Brothers and the former Ann & Hope in Millis.
She was an avid gardener and loved animals, especially her dogs, although her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren.
Besides her husband, she is survived by; three daughters, Janet Daniel of Medway, Katie Ciccariello and her husband Thomas of Millis and Lori Sawyer of Millis; and three grandchildren, Jade Daniel, and Hannah and Travis Ciccariello.
She is also survived by; her sister Susan Costa and her partner Michael Gerling of Millis, her brother Charles Costa and his wife Janice of Millis, two nephews Zach and Jake, and one niece Lauren.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service on Friday, September 2 at the Church of Christ, 142 Exchange Street in Millis at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Prospect Hill Cemetery in Millis.
Calling hour will be held on Thursday from 4 - 7 p.m. in the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin, 131 Main Street in Franklin (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com).
