Worcester— Lillian Chachi, 98, of Worcester, passed away peacefully in her home, surrounded by family on Sunday, August 28, 2022.
Lillian was born in Fier, Albania in 1924, daughter of the late Dimitri and Maria (Pano) Chachi. Lillian was the eldest of three children and was predeceased by her brother, Gregory Chachi, and her sister, Androniki Demake. She is survived by many nieces and nephews, great nieces
and nephews, and four great great nieces and nephews.
A lifelong resident of Worcester, Lillian attended the former Commerce High School, then worked as a clerk at the retail store of Table Talk Pie Company for 41 years. She later worked for Amgro Insurance, where she retired after working there 10 years.
Lillian was a lifelong member of St. Nicholas Orthodox Church in Shrewsbury, serving in many capacities, including being the first Woman President
of the Church Parish Council, as well as a member of the Ladies Auxiliary Society. Lillian enjoyed traveling overseas, especially with her two best
friends, Rita and Jenny.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 2, at 11 AM in St. Nicholas Orthodox Church, 34 Gold St. Shrewsbury. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery, Worcester. A calling hour will be held from 10 to 11 AM in the church prior to the funeral service.
