Joseph J. Cimino, a longtime Medford resident, passed away at home peacefully on Friday, August 26th, 2022. He was 94. He was the son of the late Luigi and Concetta (Caruso) Cimino.
Born in Boston, Joseph served in the military and then embarked on a long career with the United States Coast Guard as an engineer. He is survived by his loving wife, Gloria (Favuzza) Cimino. Joseph was an avid reader and traveler. Some of his and Gloria’s fondest memories together include their major yearly travels across the globe. Throughout the years he and Gloria made their way through the United States, Europe, Asia and the Pacific. Joseph was devoted to his family and enjoyed wonderful relationships with a large circle of friends.
The beloved husband of Gloria (Favuzza) Cimino with whom he shared 60 years of marriage, he was the devoted brother of the late Charles, Vincent, Frank and Jimmy Cimino. He leaves many beloved nieces and nephews as well as many dear friends.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit with the family at St. Raphael Church, 512 High Street, Medford, on Wednesday, August 31st at 10 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 11 AM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery.
