Lillian Emily (Casey) LaRosa, 85, formerly of Franklin passed away peacefully on July 18, 2022 after a long illness. She was the wife of Nicholas “Nick” LaRosa for the past 67 years.
Born October 18, 1936, the daughter of the late Joseph and Madeline Casey, Lillian was raised in South Boston and then moved to Franklin in 1963 where she lived and raised her family until 2015, when she and her husband moved to Marco Island, Florida.
Lillian was a creative person, having owned and operated a ceramic studio in Medfield for several years in the 1970’s and 80’s.
Lillian was a member of the Franklin Garden Club. She enjoyed spending time at the local casinos.
Lillian was a woman of simple needs and what brought her great happiness was spending time with her family and friends.
In addition to her husband she is survived by her children, Robert LaRosa and his wife Ann of Franklin, Debra and her husband Peter Keras of Blackstone, Steven LaRosa and his wife Laura of Port Charlotte , Florida, Susan LaRosa of Hopedale, Scott LaRosa and his wife Robin of Franklin and Patrick LaRosa and his wife Leslie of Franklin.
She was the loving “Grammy” to 13 grandchildren, two whom predeceased her and 9 great-grandchildren.
Her graveside services will be held on Monday, August 29 at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Franklin at 1:00p.m.
Calling hours will be on Monday from 11:00-1:00p.m. in the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 131 Main Street, Franklin.
