Susan J. Dalton, age 59, a lifelong resident of Mansfield, passed away peacefully, in the presence of her loving family and dear friends on Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at the Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro.
Born in Attleboro, MA on February 21, 1963, she was a loving daughter of the late Edward J., Jr. and Patricia L. (Shea) Dalton.
Susan grew up in Mansfield and was a 1981 graduate of Mansfield High School. She had formerly been employed for twenty years as a Banquet Manager at the Holiday Inn in Mansfield.
A communicant of Saint Mary’s Church in Mansfield, Susan treasured the times in the presence of family and friends and had a special love for children. She had a talent for artwork and drawing, enjoyed traveling, times spent at the beach and watching scary movies. Fall was her favorite time of the year and she will always be remembered for her incredible sense of humor.
She was the dear sister of Mark E. Dalton and his partner Suzanne of Jacksonville, Florida, Nancy H. Cleary and her husband Jack of Mansfield, Ellen E. Whittington of Norton and is also survived by her loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Her funeral service, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Thursday, September 1st at 10:00 A.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral, 55 North Main Street, Mansfield. Burial will follow at Saint Mary’s Cemetery in Mansfield.
Visiting hours are omitted and in lieu of flowers, Susan’s family has requested that donations in her memory be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
