Craig C. Smith, 77, of Londonderry, NH, passed away peacefully on Monday August 22, 2022, surrounded by his loving family at his home. He was born on January 14, 1945 in Chelsea, MA, a son of the late Herbert and Velia (Minervini) Smith. Craig was raised in Malden, MA where he graduated from Malden High School, Class of 1962. He worked for General Electric for 42 years, starting his career in the General Electric apprentice course. He was proud to have been one of the quality control engineers working on aircraft engines. Craig could fix anything that was in need of repair and was a jack of all trades. He enjoyed boating, duck hunting and travelling. Craig was also always up for a trip to the casino. He will be remembered for his great sense of humor and immense love for his family.
He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Doris (Trout) Smith, two daughters, Doreen McNeill and her late husband John and Diana LaMothe and her husband Dean; daughter-in-law, Tina Smith, eight grandchildren, Tyler, Molly, Thomas, Emily, Jenna, Joseph, DJ and Sadie; one sister, Patricia Goan and her husband Larry; two brothers, Carl Smith and his wife Nancy and Victor Smith; a sister in law, Barbara Smith; as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family. He was predeceased by his son, Craig S. Smith and a brother Herbert Smith.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, August 26, 2022 from 4 - 7 PM with a service at 6:30pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. Cremation will follow. Mask usage is at the discretion of each individual attendee.
