Virginia “Vee” Gomez of Weymouth passed away peacefully on August 16, 2022, at the age of 93. Virginia was born in Providence, Rhode Island and was raised and educated in Marshfield, MA. Virginia married and moved to Pennsylvania where she started and raised her family and spent much of her life before moving back to Massachusetts later in life.
Virginia was big into fashion, clothing design and was a talented hair stylist. Although Virginia never drove, she got around her town. She walked everywhere in her heels and was always looking her best wherever she went. She loved going to Pittsburg and bringing her family with her. While at home Virginia spent much of her time cleaning. She would be up at all hours making sure everything she had was spotless. Above all else Virginia cherished her family and all the time she got to spend with them.
Virginia was predeceased by her two children Amos "Sinbad" Gomez Jr. and Alfred “Freddie” Gomez. Virginia was the loving grandmother of Lisa Connor and her husband Sean of Hull and great grandmother of Sean Michael Connor and Trevor Connor. Virginia leaves behind her daughter in law Ruth Gomez of Weymouth. Virginia was the sister of James "Louis" Lopes, Robert Lopes, Edward “Rudy” Lopes, Priscilla Roderick, Frances Cardoza and was predeceased by her siblings Alfred Lopes Jr., Delphina Tavares and Manuel “Manny” Lopes. Virginia also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.
