Louis V. Hébert, 93, slipped peacefully away to be with the Lord on August 20, 2022.
He was born in Manchester NH on November 16, 1928 the son of Gaudias and Jeannette (Noury) Hébert.
After graduating from Assumption College (1951), Louis served honorably for one tour during the Korean War as a medic in the US Army. He then worked for over 30 years in the local banking industry. Louis was also a longtime parishioner of St. Catherine of Siena Church.
In his 93 years Louis’ mind remained engaged; he read the news daily, enjoyed discussing local and national issues; and helped his beloved wife solve crossword puzzles regularly.
He will always be remembered for his kind and gentle spirit, the love and support he gave his family, and his dry sense of humor. Louis skied and played tennis in his youth, and later played golf with his wife Constance at Intervale Country Club in his retirement. Louis was also a fan of the Yankees and Patriots, and he rarely missed watching a game.
Louis enjoyed his leisure time during his retirement, and above all things he loved spending time with his wife and family. He will be missed beyond words.
Louis is survived by his wife of 63 years, Constance (Bernier) Hébert of Manchester, one daughter; Nicole Pennell and her husband, Paul of Goffstown, one grandson, Alexandre Pennell of Goffstown, one sister, Jeanne (Hébert) Masse of Manchester as well as cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, his sister Constance (Hébert) Hamel, and his brother Alexander J. Hébert.
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 30, 2022 in St. Catherine of Siena Church at 10:30 am. Committal prayers will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 2 Wall St, # 104, Manchester NH 03101.
