HILLSBORO ---- Donald “Don” M. Hull, 92, of Hillsboro, formerly of Sandy Hook, CT, left this world peacefully on Thursday, August 18, 2022, to be reunited with his beloved wife, Joyce.
Don was born on May 16, 1930, in Bridgeport, CT, the son of the late Charles and Wilhelmina Hull.
Don was predeceased by his brothers, Charles Hull, William Hull, Oliver Hull, Fred Hull, Clarence Hull, Warren Hull, and his sisters, Martha Furlong and Betty Bognar. He is survived by his brother, Lester Hull, his children, Helen Hull Sperry, Donald and wife Marcia Hull, Edward and wife Nancy Hull, his 8 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Don retired from Sikorsky Aircraft Development Manufacturing Center after over 4 decades of helping to build a better America. Fondly known as “Hully” and “the Farmer,” Don was very a dedicated husband and the best father a kid could have and took pride in his family and his gardens. He was happy tilling, tending and harvesting his gardens as well as enjoying bluegrass and country music.
A special expression of extreme appreciation goes out to his neighbors, Mike and Michelle Powell, and to his good friend Barb Burnham, for being such a blessing to Don.
