The family will greet friends one hour prior to the services in the sanctuary on Tuesday.

Mrs. Anderson was born February 23, 1959, in Swainsboro, Georgia, to the late Gerald W. “Jerry” & Rita Johnston Pryor. She attended Ben Hill County Schools and graduated from Fitzgerald High School in 1977. She earned a Bachelor’s degree from Florida State University in 1981. Prior to graduation, she studied abroad for a year at Bonn University in Bonn, Germany where she learned to speak fluent German. There, she met Maciek Sulkowski. She returned to the states and worked 10 years for the German Consulate in Atlanta. In 1989, she wed Mr. Sulkowski. He suffered a traumatic brain injury in 1991 and died in 1998. Becky returned to Fitzgerald in 1992 and began working for her father at The Herald-Leader, a career she would enjoy until her death. She was a lifelong student and a voracious learner and reader. Every subject, from philosophy, to math, to astronomy, piqued her interest. Becky’s first love was music. A season ticket holder to the Atlanta Symphony, she especially enjoyed classical music. She was a member of Central United Methodist Church where she played the piano for 30 years. She loved to accompany the choir and play for church services. She also enjoyed teaching her piano students and sharing her love of music with others. Becky loved her community and served in many organizations including Kiwanis, the Arts Council, the Blue and Gray Museum, and the Humane Society. She blessed the community with Four Grands at the Grand as well as duet concerts with Gina Lawhon and Rev. Andy Daughtry. She co-founded, along with Betty Dyess, the Duet Club, a Sunday afternoon gathering for local musicians. Becky was a humble and quiet servant of her Lord. Her musical talent has surrounded many couples as they wed, innumerable worship occasions, and has comforted many families as they mourned. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her husband, Tim Anderson of Fitzgerald; step-son, Tom & Julia Sulkowski of Atlanta; brothers: Gerald H. Pryor & Maritza of Douglas and James Jarratt Pryor, II & Brenda of Bethlehem; sister-in-law, Malinda West Pryor of Columbus; as well as many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews that she dearly loved. A very special and devoted friend, Paulette Eastman of Fitzgerald, also survives. In addition to her parents and first husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Gibson Johnston Pryor.

The family suggests those desiring to send memorials may send them to Central United Methodist Church, Music Department, P.O. Box 428, Fitzgerald, GA 31750.
