This is a story of an Angel, Trey was born on May 1st 1994 at CMH. He was killed while in Brazil on his Vacation, Drug Cartels had opened fire outside and a stray bullet hit him in the head, while he was sitting in his friends apartment A tragedy that is inconceivable to any parent. He attended. local schools, having graduated from Foothill Tech High School and Ventura College. Earning his undergraduate degree in Portuguese and International Interpretations Studies at UCSB. One of his greatest accomplishments in his short life, was when he applied to UCLA, and was accepted with a full scholarship. He had just earned his Masters degree last month, and was looking forward to start next month for his doctorate. He also worked at UCLA as a teaching professor; he loved his students and just wanted to be the best teacher he could be. His students had a lot of admiration for him. He was engaging, intelligent, and gave so much compassion to everyone he touched. He was so dedicated to his studies he fell in love with the language and culture of Brazil. A place he held special in his heart was also a place where his short life ended. Trey had his life all mapped out, unfortunately he was not able to fulfill his dream of living and teaching english in Brazil. It's an affirmation that our son's life made a difference in this world and that he mattered.
His favorite things were TOPPERS PIZZA!!!, Hot Cheetos, chicken strips, any fast food and he liked his Long Island Ice teas...

A very special thank you to our dear friend Petra Puls who, without her, I could have never made it thru this nightmare. She worked hard day and night dealing with the consulate in Brazil to bring my Baby back home. Also, I would like to thank my very good friends and neighbors, Grady Puls and Jason Laws who have given us so much support doing this time.
