Barbara Jean (Driscoll) Silva, 54 of Tewksbury, passed away after a lengthy battle with cancer on Friday, August 12, 2022 at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. She was the wife of Luis Silva with whom she shared the last 33 years.
She was born on January 6, 1968 in Somerville, MA and was a daughter of the late Arnold Patrick Driscoll and MaryAnn (Andolino) Driscoll of Melbourne, FL. She was raised in Medford and graduated from Medford High School.
In her younger days, Barbara was employed as a hairdresser; she was also employed as a teacher’s aide at the Heath Brook Elementary School. She loved working with children. She enjoyed arts, crafts, and reading. Spending days at the beach, especially traveling to Maine, where she would spend her summers.
In addition to her husband, Luis Silva of Tewksbury, she is survived by her two children, Matthew Silva and Makayla Silva, both of Tewksbury; and her grandson, Vincent ‘Vinni James’ Silva of Tewksbury. She is also survived by her siblings, Deb Donahue and her husband, Thomas of Derry, NH, George Driscoll of N. Andover, Jeannie Lavoie and her husband, Michael of Medford, Robert Driscoll of Lowell, and Mary Maniscalco and her husband, James of Melbourne, FL; her grand-dog, Molly; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

On Friday, August 19, 2022 all are welcome to attend her calling hours from 4-7 p.m. at Tewksbury Funeral Home, 1 Dewey Street, Tewksbury, MA 978-851-2061.
Her funeral service will be held in the funeral home at 7 p.m.
