Sarah A. Solano, aged 97 and a longtime Medford resident, passed away peacefully at the East Point Nursing Home of Chelsea on Saturday, August 13th. Born and raised in Boston’s West End, Sarah was the daughter of the late Angelo and Rose (Carribino) Solano.
Sarah enjoyed a career as an office manager with the Department of Revenue of The Commonwealth of Massachusetts. She enjoyed travelling with friends and embarking regular shopping trips in the city. She always took the time to be with her friends and relatives.
Sarah was the last living of all of her brothers and sisters. She leaves behind many nieces and nephews and their families.
Sarah’s funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Saturday, August 20th at 9 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High Street, Medford Square at 10 AM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
