Bruce Eugene Goodman, 72, of Sumner passed away Sunday, August 14, 2022, at his residence. A funeral service and burial will be held for Mr. Goodman at a later date.
Born December 1, 1949, in Eustis, Florida, Mr. Goodman was the son of the late William Eugene Goodman and Joyce Matthews Goodman. He was also preceded in death by one daughter, Candy Wright. He was a retired owner/operator truck driver and a member of Harding Methodist Church. He loved his grandchildren and he loved to hunt and fish. He also built and raced racecars. He was also a veteran of the United States Army.
Mr. Goodman is survived by his wife, Earline Walters Goodman of Sumner; one daughter and son-in-law, Marilyn and David Perez of Ocilla; a son-in-law, Adam Wright; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Paul and Melissa Goodman of Tifton and Larry and Cheryl Atkins of Iva, South Carolina; one sister, Sharon Atkins and Bruce Schwinn of Iva, South Carolina; six grandchildren, Jacey Perez, Schyler Perez, Tyson Perez, Levi Perez, Bryce Perez and Andon Wright; and two great-grandchildren, Braxton Perez and Zayden Singletary.
