Albert J. “Al” Danti, 84, of Dorr Drive, Chepachet passed away on Saturday August 13th surrounded by his loving family at his home. He was the beloved husband of the late Carol L. (Mitson) Danti.
Born in Johnston, a son of the late Joseph A. and Zaira (Marini) Danti. He had lived in Chepachet for 48 years and previously in Scituate.
Al had founded Al Danti and Son Plumbing and Heating with his wife Carol in 1984 and had worked until his retirement in 2022.
Al loved supporting his community through his business. When he was not working, he enjoyed exploring antiques, vintage car shows, and historical battlegrounds. He loved spending weekends with his family, gardening, and his dogs Larry and Buddy. Always ready with a joke or helping hand for anyone he met.
He leaves his sons, Joseph A. Danti and Thomas J. Danti, 5 grandchildren Amanda, Albert, Laura, TJ, and David and 3 great-grandchildren Lucas, Rosalee, and Gabriella Carol. He leaves his girlfriend Rose E. Herron and her children, Kathi-lee Ulmschneider and her husband Tom, Lorri Herron and Linda Herron. He was the father of the late Carol Danti-King. He was the brother of the late Anna Danti, Ida Pezzulli, William Danti and Alba Cairo.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday August 18th at 10am in St. Eugene’s Church, 1251 Putnam Pike, Chepachet. Burial will be in Acote’s Hill Cemetery, Chepachet. Visitation Wednesday August 17th from 4-7pm in the Anderson-Winfield Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville.
