Sandra Jean Jamer, 74, passed away on August 11, 2022. A resident of Tewksbury, Sandy was born in Lowell, MA, on April 3, 1948.
Sandy grew up in Billerica, moving to Tewksbury after her graduation from Billerica Memorial High School, class of 1967. She always kept Billerica close to her heart. She loved watching the Boston sports teams, with “her” Red Sox being her absolute favorite. She enjoyed playing bingo (and yelling BLITZ), crocheting Christmas stockings for every family member, as well as making afghans for every new baby born in the family and for every niece and nephew when they got married. She loved spending time with her family, especially at the family’s cottage at Huntress Pond in Barnstead, NH.
Sandy will always be remembered for her kind heartedness and generosity to others. She was always there for everyone and willing to help anyone who needed it.
She was the beloved daughter of the late Hank and Dot (Horton) Jamer and loving sister and caretaker of her brother, the late Jim Jamer, all of Tewksbury. She leaves behind four brothers: Bill and Sue Jamer of Chelmsford, MA, Bob Jamer of Farmington, NH, Jack and Debbie Jamer of Salem, NH, and Mike and Colleen Jamer of New Ipswich, NH; and her three sisters: Kathy and Ted Oliver of Barnstead, NH & Springfield, VA, and Nancy and Steve Higgins, and Cindy and Buddy Chase, all of Salem, NH. She is also survived by 25 nieces and nephews and 42 great and 9 great-great nieces and nephews. She adored each and every one of them as if they were her own. She is also survived by her Aunt Lorrie and Uncle Sven Johnson of Waltham, MA, her Uncle Bob MacElrath of Medford, OR, and her Aunt Rona Horton of Lowell, MA, and numerous cousins and friends. In honor of her love for her soap operas, she is also survived by the cast of Days of Our Lives, General Hospital and the Young and the Restless.
On Tuesday, August 16, 2022 all are welcome to attend the calling hours from 10am–12noon at the Tewksbury Funeral Home, 1 Dewey Street, Tewksbury 978-851-2061. A gravesite service will follow.
