Claire M. (Boisvert) Bonugli- Age 90


Claire M. (Boisvert) Bonugli passed away peacefully on August 9, 2022, at Lahey Hospital in Burlington, with her loving family by her side.

Claire was the wife of the late Leon S. Bonugli, a well-known Tewksbury contractor, who passed away in 1994.

Claire was born on June 11, 1932, one of 14 children of Arthur and Blanche (Montbleau) Boisvert.

She was raised in Tewksbury at the family farmhouse on Foster Road.

Claire attended Tewksbury schools and graduated from Tewksbury High School.

She and Leon (Leo) were married on October 14, 1951, and settled in Tewksbury to raise their family.

While raising her family, Claire worked in the Tewksbury School System as a lunchroom worker. She also worked for Smith Industries. In later years, she worked as a pharmacy technician at K-Mart Pharmacy, Stadium Plaza, until her retirement.

Claire is survived by five children and their spouses, Lisa Lytle and husband Sam, Laurie Chavis and husband Marwood, Cory and wife Phyllis, Stephen and wife Nancy and Jay and wife Denise. Seven grandchildren, Cory, Jr., Dominic, and Vincent Bonugli, Marie and Stephen Bonugli, Meredith and Alexandra Bonugli. Five great grandchildren, Christopher, Olivia, and Nicholas Bonugli, Ava Bonugli and Arthur Bonugli. One sister, Patricia Ciatti of Minnesota.
Claire was predeceased by her siblings, brothers: Raymond, Robert, Roger, Roland, Ronald, and Richard Boisvert, and sisters: Pauline Powers, Doris Vigneault, Lillian Sheehan, Theresa Valle, Jeanne Fentross, and Yvonne Fischera.
Claire also leaves many nieces and nephews including, Joanne and Edward Fallon, who were like her own children, wonderful and faithful friends, and Bonnie DiRocco, her dearest and most treasured friend of 57 years.

Calling hours are Tuesday, August 16th, from 4-8 p.m. at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee Street, Tewksbury. Her funeral procession will begin on Wednesday, August 17th, at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by her Funeral Mass at 11:30 a.m. at St. William’s Church, 1351 Main Street, Tewksbury. Private interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Claire’s memory may be made to Tewksbury Community Pantry, 999 Whipple Road, Tewksbury, MA 01876.
