Glenn A. Newton, 61, of Salem, passed away, August 7, 2022 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers, MA following a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. He was the devoted husband of Diane (Pickle) Newton with whom he shared 22 years of marriage.
Born in Queens, New York and raised in Howard Beach NY, he was the son of the late James A. Newton and Elizabeth M. (Von Hugel Schust. He was first employed at Kennedy International Airport for over 20 years. He and Diane moved to Salem, MA in 2006 and he began working as a warehouse supervisor for Horizon Airfreight. Glenn was a lifelong New York Giants fan. He loved to travel, the beach, music and time with family and friends as well as a Guinness at the end of the day.
In addition to his wife Diane, Glenn is survived by his brothers: Bobby Newton and Wife Teresa, Billy Newton and wife Stella, Dougie Newton and wife Sissy, Dennis Newton and wife Camila, his sister Alicia Brooker and husband Brooker, fourteen nieces and nephews and four grandnieces and nephews. He also leaves his mother and father-in-law, Arthur and Theresa Pickle and brother -in-law, Thomas and wife Jasmine. In addition to his parents and stepfather, William (Pop) Schust, he was predeceased by his brothers, Ricky and James Newton.
His Mass of Christian Burial will be in Ste. Anne Church, Salem at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, August 16, 2022. In lieu of flowers, kindly consider a memorial contribution to Care Dimensions (Kaplan Family Hospice House), 75 Sylvan St., Suite B-102, Danvers, MA 01923
