FALL RIVER … Lori A. (Dutra) Tavares, 62, of Fall River passed away, Wednesday, July 27, 2022, at Charlton Memorial Hospital after a long illness.
She was born in San Jose, CA a daughter of Manuel and Irene (Costa) Dutra of Fall River and had lived in this city most of her life.
Lori saw the good in people. She had an unconditional love for everyone. She loved nature, sitting outside, walking and loved the beach. Her favorite flowers were lilacs and the fragrance of pine. Most of all she loved God and her family and spending time with them. When talking to her either on the phone or in person she would always say “God Bless you and all the family” and tell everyone “I love them”.
Survivors include her parents Manual and Irene (Costa) Dutra; a son Ronald Tavares, III of Providence, RI; a daughter Rachael Couture of Fall River; 2 brothers: Manuel J. Dutra of Fall River; Leonard R. Dutra of Assonet; 2 sisters: Teresa Beland of East Freetown; Louise Dutra of Somerset; 3 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Mass to which relatives and friends are invited will be held August 18, 2022, at 10:00 A.M. at St. Bernard Church, 30 S. Main St., Assonet, MA 02702. Interment will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River, MA.
