Obituary

Madeline J. (Bourne) Langley, 68, of Fairhaven, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, August 9, 2022. She was the wife of the late Carl S. Langley.

Born in Quincy, daughter of the late Robert L. and Madeline I. (Thorwaldson) Bourne, she lived in Quincy most of her life before moving to Fairhaven.

Madeline loved to swim and spend time near the beach. She enjoyed reading and bird watching in her back yard. She especially loved when a Cardinal would visit the bird feeder. Madeline worked at Southcoast Health as a Nurse Practitioner specializing in Neurology for many years. She was a life long learner who always kept up with the latest advancements in Neuroscience.

She is survived by her step-daughter Cynthia Cooper and her husband Edward of Marshfield, MA; her grandchildren, Jessica Cooper and Nicholas Call and his wife Christine; and her great-grandchildren Caroline Call and Hana Call; her life long friends, Rick and Ruth Pendleton of Braintree; and her goddaughter Beth Pyliotis of Braintree.

Visitation will be on Monday, August 15, 2022 from 10-11 AM at the Saunders-Dwyer Mattapoisett Home for Funerals, 50 County Road, Mattapoisett. At 11 AM a Funeral Procession will depart the Funeral Home for her burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
