Deborah J. (Curran) Foskett, 69, of Worcester died Saturday, August 6, 2022 in UMASS Memorial Medical Center – University Campus. She leaves her husband of 49 years, Steven H. Foskett, Sr.; her children, Danielle Belpedio and her husband, Michael of Worcester, Steven H. Foskett, Jr. and his wife, Nancy of Worcester, Nicole Switzer and her husband, Brad of Shrewsbury, Allison Foskett and her partner, Matthew Jonasch of Auburn, and Courtney Mason and her partner, Peter Staiti of Holden; four siblings, Charlyne Dore and her husband, Randy of Grafton, Donna Dixon and her husband, Sam of Pensacola, FL, Joseph Curran of Oxford, Denise O’Gara and her husband, Alan of Worcester; fourteen grandchildren, Monique, Derek, and Ryan Belpedio; Liam, Owen, and Colin Foskett; Lucas, James and Charlotte Switzer; Delia, Nolan, Colleen, and Mallory Shea; and Ella Mason. She also leaves extended family including Jacob and Emma Jonasch; Trevor and William Staiti; two sisters-in-law, Jean Aromando of Oxford and Jody Bennett of Dudley; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Michael Curran.
She was born in Worcester the daughter of George and June (Grimley) Curran and was a long-time member of Our Lady of the Angels Church. She graduated from South High School and earned her Master’s Degree from Anna Maria College. Deborah was a teacher with the Worcester Public Schools for 26 years, retiring in 2014 from Norrback Avenue School.
Deborah enjoyed spending time with her family on vacations and on the beaches of Maine. She cherished the time she spent with Steve traveling overseas, especially to France. Every Saturday for the past 40 years, Deborah could be found having breakfast with her friends they were affectionately known as the breakfast club. Her greatest joy was being surrounded by her grandchildren.
Her funeral is Friday, August 12th from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue with a Mass at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Angels Church, 1222 Main Street. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours are Thursday, August 11th from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
