TEWKSBURY: Rochelle J. “Rocky” (Gosselin) Hastings, age 78, a longtime Tewksbury resident, passed away at her home on Sunday, July 17, 2022, following a hard-fought battle with cancer.
She was the beloved wife of Robert F. Hastings, Jr., who passed away on April 8, 1998.
Born in Berlin, NH on March 30, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Dewey J. Gosselin and the late Madeleine (Routhier) Gosselin.
Rochelle was raised by Norman and Olive Bertrand in Berlin, NH.
She attended local schools and graduated from Notre Dame High School in 1962.
In 1970, she and her late husband moved to Tewksbury where they raised their daughter, Kimberly.
Prior to her retirement, Rochelle worked for the Tewksbury School Department as the cafeteria manager at the Dewing School.
She treasured spending time with her three grandchildren, socializing with her friends, and attending family gatherings at the camp in New Hampshire.
Rochelle is survived by her daughter, Kimberly J. Hastings and her boyfriend, Walter Sullivan, of Tewksbury: three grandchildren, Jacob and Colby Brooks and Ryan Sullivan, all of Tewksbury. She was the sister of Roland Gosselin, of Springfield, PA, and the late Suzanne Bertrand, Roger, Richard, and Raymond Gosselin. Rochelle leaves many nieces, nephews, extended family members, neighbors, and friends.
Private services will be held in New Hampshire
