Mrs. Bruna DeGregorio of Wilmington formerly of Medford passed away unexpectedly, Monday, August 1, 2022, at the Lahey Hospital and Medical Center in Burlington. She was 91 years of age. Bruna was the beloved wife of the late Francesco DeGregorio. Born in Bore, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Angelo and Celeste (Cordani) Ferrari.
Bruna was raised and educated in Italy and came to the United States at the age of 18. Bruna worked faithfully for over forty years as an assembler of electronics for the Cole Hersee Electronics Company of South Boston. However, her primary focus in life was her family and everything she did revolved around their needs. She loved to cook and garden, and especially took great joy in feeding and sharing her culinary delights with her family, friends, and neighbors. Bruna was always present and supportive in the lives of her family and friends. In her leisure time Bruna also enjoyed trying her luck taking trips to the casino whether local or several trips to Las Vegas over the years. Bruna will be fondly remembered for her fearless, generous and selfless ways. She will be greatly missed by her family and many dear friends.
Bruna is survived by her children; Anthony DeGregorio and his wife Donna, and Maria Abernethy and her husband Craig, all of Wilmington. She was the loving Nonna of Emma Shea and her husband Daniel, and Frankie DeGregorio. She was the loving Big Nonna of Jack and Wyatt Shea. Cherished sister of Angela Ciccia and her husband Nick of North Reading, the late John Ferrari and his surviving wife Alba of Medford. She is further survived by many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to visit with the family at the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Family Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St., Woburn, Monday, August 8th, from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass celebrated in St. Charles Borromeo Church, 280 Main St., Woburn, at 11:30 a.m. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford. It has been requested that in lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Bruna's memory to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
