Jacqueline (Jackie) Hasson passed away peacefully on August 2, 2022 in Fall River, MA at the age of 88 following a prolonged illness. She was the daughter of Pierre and Jeanette (Lavoie) Viens, born in Fall River, MA on March 7, 1934.
Jackie lived in Westport, MA with her beloved husband, James Hasson, with whom she recently celebrated a 70th wedding anniversary.
Jackie worked as a medical secretary at Truesdale Hospital for many years, as well as the Kimwell and Fall River Nursing Homes. After retiring, she worked at Walmart, and as a poll worker in Westport, MA. She loved spending time with family and friends, going to play bingo, occasional trips to the casino to play the slots, but most of all, loved to play cards with family members whenever the opportunity arose. Holiday gatherings were not complete until a few hands of High-Low-Jack (Pitch) were played with the family.
Jackie is predeceased by daughter Karen Charest of Wallingford, CT; son James Hasson of Mashpee, MA; and brother Charles Viens of Swansea, MA;
Besides her husband, Jackie is survived by her daughter Brenda Eldridge and husband Keith of Fairhaven, MA; son-in-law Denis Charest of Wallingford, CT; daughter-in-law Cheryl Hasson of Mashpee, MA; sister Theresa (Terry) Viens of Tiverton, RI; sister Jeanette Ferreira of Swansea, MA; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
