Adeline Sapienza, age 99, a longtime resident of Woburn passed away peacefully, Friday, July 29, 2022, at the Woburn Nursing Center. She was the beloved wife of the late Vincent P. Sapienza. Born in Cambridge she was the daughter of the late Augusto and Maria Zanni.
Adeline was raised and educated in Cambridge. She worked for many years as a very talented seamstress with various garment businesses in and around the greater Boston area. Adeline’s primary focus was her family and nothing gave her more joy than to be surrounded by those she loved. She will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her devoted children; Edmund Sapienza of Billerica and his late wife Eileen, Bernadette Ficociello of Burlington, Douglas Sapienza and his wife Linda of Stow, and Brian Sapienza and his wife Michelle of Littleton. She is also survived by ten loving grandchildren and eight loving great grandchildren. Sister of the late Ann Castagnoli and is further survived by many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours at the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Family Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St., Woburn, Friday, August 5th, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass celebrated in St. Anthony Church, 851 Main St., Woburn at 11:30 a.m. Services will conclude with burial at Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn. It has been requested that in lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Adeline's memory to the charity of one's choice.
