Jody Billy Dean, 51, of Tifton passed away Friday, July 29, 2022, in Tifton. His funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 5, 2022, at Carpenter Road Church of God with the Rev. Clayton Dowd and the Rev. Alan Kea officiating. Mr. Dean will be laid to rest at Summers Chapel Cemetery in Worth County. The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 4, 2022, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Mr. Dean will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service.
Mr. Dean’s nephews as well as Justin Drawdy and Ashley Ball will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Austin Bennett and Chandler King.
Born February 13, 1971, in Adel, Mr. Dean was the son of Frances Harris Jiminez and Luis Jiminez of Omega and the late Clarence Billy Dean. He worked as an inspector at ACV Auctions and he attended Carpenter Road Church of God. He loved fishing, mud bogging and working with Youth Ministries. Jody was an ordained minister and he was a strong witness for Christ to others.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Dean is survived by three brothers and one sister-in-law, Anthony and Crystal Dean of Houston, Mississippi, Carlos Dean of Enigma and Scotty Dean of Ty Ty; one sister and brother-in-law, Melissa and John Rowe of Lakeland; and several nieces and nephews.
