Gladys Jacobson, 83, of Raymond, NH, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Sunday July 31, 2022, in the High Pointe Hospice House in Haverhill, MA. She was born in 1938 in Brooklyn, NY, to Norwegian immigrants, Marta (Guri) and Harry Jacobsen.
Gladys met and married Emil, her husband of 58 years, at Calvary Evangelical Free Church in New Jersey. Calvary, and the friends they made there, served as a foundation as they actively attended and served there while raising their children.
Gladys and her husband had been residents of Raymond for the past 27 years where they enjoyed being near four of their seven grandchildren.
She is survived by her loving husband, Emil Jacobson; her son, Lars Jacobson and his wife, Laurie; her daughters, Inger Johnston and her husband Peter, and Katrina George and her husband Chris; seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren (with one more due in January); and her brother, Gordon Jacobsen and his wife, Laurel, as well as 14 nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, her brother, Ralph, her nephew, Kurt, and her niece, Linda.
Following cremation, a celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, August 3rd at 5:00pm at Fellowship Bible Church, 48 Rod & Gun Club Rd., Chester, NH. Memorial contributions may be made to High Pointe Hospice House who took such good care of her in her final days (www.homehealthfoundation.org/donate/) or to FaithBridge Foster Care, a Christ-centered foster and adoption agency whose mission is to introduce children in foster care to the hope, healing, and love of Jesus (www.faithbridgefostercare.org/donate/).
