Joseph J. DeSomine, age 86, of Lake Suzy, Florida passed away on Monday, July 18th. Raised and educated in Somerville, he was the son of the late Angelo and Concetta DeSimone. Joseph worked at Raytheon for over 30 years. He was good at working with his hands and there was nothing around the house he couldn’t build or fix. Joseph moved to Florida 20 years ago after he retired.
Joseph was the beloved husband of the late Margaret Ann "Peggy" (Gaeta) DeSimone, and the devoted father of Christina DeSimone of Everett. He was the loving grandfather of Hannah DeSimone and Vanessa Gutirez, and the dear brother of the late Richard DeSimone and Angelo DeSimone, Jr. Joseph is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
A funeral mass will be celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner St., Medford, on Tuesday, August 2nd at 11:30 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with family from 9 through 11 AM in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
