Obituary

Worcester – Anne Marie J. (Tetreault) Saksa, 87, of Worcester, passed away in her home on Thursday, July 21, 2022 after an illness.

Mrs. Saksa was married for 56 years to the late David P. Saksa who died in 2016. She is survived by her two sons, Stephen P. Saksa and Brian D. Saksa, both of Worcester; two grandchildren, Stephanie Saksa of Worcester and Jennifer Toomey and her husband, Daniel of West Roxbury and three great grandchildren, Noah Gurnick, Daniel Toomey Jr. and Gavin Mo Toomey.

Anne Marie was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Leon and Rita Tetreault and graduated from Holy Name High School in 1953 where she made lifelong friendships with her classmates. She worked as a secretary for many years before her retirement, with her good friend Jeanne Mathieu at the former Worcester Central Catholic Elementary School.

Anne Marie is now reunited with Linda and Eddie Saksa who passed away earlier this year. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, she was the happiest when she was spending time with her family.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Nicole form Elder Services, Laurie from Tufts Medical and Celeste from the VNA and Hospice for the exceptional love, care and support that was shown to Anne Marie.

A funeral will be held on Tuesday, August 2 at 11 AM in the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond St. Worcester. A calling hour will be held from 10 to 11 in the funeral home prior to the service. A celebration of the life of Anne Marie will held following the funeral service. Memorial contributions in memory of Anne Marie may be made to the Worcester Animal Rescue League 139 Holden Street Worcester, MA 01606.
