Alba C. (Spezzafero) Tusa, age 98, of Malden passed away Wednesday, July 27th, at Melrose/Wakefield Hospital. Born and raised in Somerville, she was the daughter of the late Alessandro and Civita (Masci) Spezzafero. Alba settled in Malden 30 years ago, after spending many years in Medford. She always cooked Sunday dinner for family, enjoyed visiting the casinos, and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Alba was the beloved wife of the late Frank J. Tusa, and the devoted mother of Joseph Tusa of Malden, Frank J. Tusa, Jr. of Peabody and his companion Jackie Mulrain, Paul Tusa and his wife Mary of North Andover, and Pamela Tusa of Tewksbury and her companion John Correggio. She was the loving grandmother of Joey Tusa and his wife Alicia, Ashley Jordan and her husband Conor, Paul Tusa, Jr. and his wife Julie, Katie MacLean and her husband Ryan, Nicholas Tusa and his companion Sarah, Peter Means Jr., Paige Means, and Katlyn Mulrain. Alba was the loving great grandmother of Ella, Maxwell, Lilah, Charlotte, Kinsley, Zoe and Daniel, and is survived by many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
A funeral mass will be celebrated in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 441 Fellsway West, Medford, on Tuesday, August 2nd at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours have been respectfully omitted and interment will be private.
