Allen J. Hicks
Retired Member of Teamsters Local # 633

Allen Jarvis Hicks, age 80, of Nashua, NH, formerly of Tewksbury, MA, died peacefully on Tuesday, July 26th, 2022, surrounded by his loving family.

He was the loving husband of Joanne (Santore) Hicks for 58 years.

Born on December 19, 1941, he was the son of the late Albert and Mildred (Jarvis) Hicks and was raised in the Brighton area.

Al is survived by his wife, Joanne: three sons, Michael and his wife Ellen, David and his wife Cheryl, and Kenneth and his wife Lilli: one daughter, Patricia and her husband Michael Ferreira: a nephew, Richard Jundzil, who was like a son to him and his wife Judi: fourteen cherished grandchildren: several great grandchildren: two sisters, June DePrimeo and Claire D’Amelio: many nieces and nephews.

Al was pre-deceased by his daughter, Ann Marie (Hicks) Nagle, his brother, Richard, and sisters, Roberta, Ruth, and Frances.

He was a longtime devoted member of the St. William’s Church Men’s Club of Tewksbury.

Al and his wife spent many enjoyable years with family and friends at their lake house in Shapleigh, Maine, where Al enjoyed fishing and working on numerous projects around their home.

He was a 38-year member of the Teamsters Union Local 633 and worked for the Nabisco Company until his retirement.

Calling hours are Friday, July 29, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee Street, Tewksbury, followed by a Funeral Mass Celebrating Allen’s life at 12 Noon at St. William’s Church, 1351 Main Street, Route 38, Tewksbury. Interment will follow at St. Mary Cemetery, 90 River Road, Tewksbury.
