Worcester – Robert A. Raymond, 94, of Worcester, passed away peacefully in his home on Monday, July 25, 2022 surrounded by his family.
Mr. Raymond was married for 63 years to the love of his life, Beverly M. (Wilson) Raymond, who died in 2013. He is survived by a son, Robert Raymond and his wife, Tonia of Worcester; three daughters, Deborah Barker and her husband, Thomas of Worcester, Susan Peterson and her husband, Joseph of Conway, NH and June Schwartz and her husband, Gary of Spencer; 7 grandchildren, Dennis Roy, Mindy Roy, Carissa Roberts, Stephanie Roy, Amanda Raymond Marcolino, Kelly Van Doorn and Emily Schwartz; 8 great grandchildren and another great grandson due in August.
Mr. Raymond was born in Ware, MA son of the late Ulric and Freda (Geoffion) Raymond an is predeceased by a sister, Estelle Dandurand. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy during World War II and retired from the Jamesbury Corporation in 1989 after working for 24 years as a machinist and foreman.
He was an avid bowler and enjoyed going to his bowling league at Auburn Ten Pin, but he always looked forward to spending time with his family and listening to jazz music.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, July 27, from 5 to 7 PM in the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral home 12 Hammond St. Worcester. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester.
