Obituary

Alan A. Cornoni, 64, died peacefully on Saturday, July 23, 2022, surrounded by his loving family after courageous 14-year battle with prostate cancer. Born in Natick on February 15, 1958 to the late Joseph and Anna (Blasotto) Cornoni, he graduated from Natick High Class of 1976 and later graduated from Northeastern University. His career brought him to administrative work in healthcare for most of his life. He began at Leonard Morse Hospital followed by Metro West and Beth Israel Deaconess. He retired this year after 22 years as a marketing analyst from the American Red Cross. Simultaneously, Chaulk Ambulance and AMR in Natick paved the way for his true love as an EMT working with the Medway Fire Department. His 25-year EMT career included being part of the ‘on-call’ responder team. Over the years he received several promotions including supervisor and chief supervisor, retiring out as the Assistant EMS Coordinator.

He enjoyed family vacations to Disney World and the Cape, themed parties with friends and his favorite pastime, gourmet cooking.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Susan (Murphy) Cornoni, his son Michael Cornoni and wife Julie of Franklin, his daughter Jillian Cornoni and her husband Nicholas Bellavance of Uxbridge, two granddaughters Liliana and Alessandra Cornoni and his two grand dogs Kovu and Kona.

He is also survived by his brother Paul Cornoni and wife Catherine of Millis, niece Michelle Murray and her husband Jamie and daughter Autumn of Milford, and nephew Paul Cornoni Jr. and his wife Vanessa and their children Noelle, Chase and Sydney of Bethesda, MD, his sister-in-law Patricia Murphy of West Springfield, MA, as well as his aunts and numerous cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Tuesday July 26, 2022, from 4 – 7 p.m. in the Ginley-Crowley Funeral Home, 3 Barber Street in Medway (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com).

His funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph Church, 151 Village Street in Medway on Wednesday July 27 at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Medway.
