Alice May Holdridge Bogue was born in 1925 to the parents of Maurice and Evelyn (Startz) Holdridge. In her earlier years she helped tend to her younger twin sisters Delores and Dorothy. She attended local schools graduating from Fitch High School.
Upon graduating she left for Washington DC to be an intern. Returning shortly after to marry Ernest Bogue in (1948) she had two children with him daughter Diana and son Maurice sadly he passed (1960) when the children were young. Soon after she married (1961) Bertram Bogue and had daughter Alice. They were married until his passing in (2000). She was a past president of the Montville VFW. She spent her later years traveling, hosting parties at her retirement community, and enjoying watching her family grow.
She leaves behind daughter Diana (Raymond) Albert from Southington Ct Son, Maurice of Oakdale and daughter Alice (Crowell) Clinton from Yorktown Virginia and step daughter Mary Greene of Moosup
Grandchildren Melissa (Morgan) Raymond, Albert Raymond, Patricia (Chance) Bogue, James Bogue, Adam Bogue, Apryl Crowell and Clinton (CJ) Crowell, Tina (Ellis) Laurie Greene and William Green and spouses. She also leaves behind 18 great grandchildren. The family would like to thank the staff of Southington Care Center for caring for our mother. Special thank you to Rebecca and Mabel. Lastly a very special thank you to Dr. Craig Bogdanski for the many years he took care of mom. The family asks if you would like to make a donation in her name please do so to First Baptist Church in Southington Ct where she was a member.
The calling hours are from 5-7 Wednesday, July 27, at the Dinoto Funeral Home, 17 Pearl Street, Mystic, with the Funeral Service on Thursday at 11am at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Elm Grove Cemetery, Mystic. There will be a memorial service held in Southington Ct at a later time at her church home.
