Frances A. “Fran” Meade, 75, of Derry, NH, passed away Thursday July 21, 2022, in the Southern NH Medical Center, Nashua, NH. She was born on January 31, 1947 in Worcester, MA, a daughter of the late Richard and Isabella (Ciociolo) Leno. Fran was a resident of Derry for 2 years, formerly living in Trenton, NJ and Hooksett, NH. She was a music teacher in Somers, CT, the Dominican Republic, Venezuela and Iran. She ended her professional career as a music therapist for the state of New Jersey.
While at Birch Heights in Derry, Fran organized a Drum Circle for residents and while living in Hooksett, she was an active member of the Holy Rosary Parish & choir.
She is survived by one sister, Kathleen M. Crean and her husband Terrence of Middlefield, MA; two brothers, Richard W. Leno & his wife Kathleen of Somers, CT
and Anthony K. Leno & his wife Anna of Enfield, CT, four nieces; Amy Kennedy and husband Kevin of Auburn, MA; Erica Hout and husband Steve of Vernon, CT, Shelley Drummey and husband Dustin of Enfield, CT, and Katrina Leno and Shane of Los Angeles, CA; and three nephews, Dr. Richard Leno and wife Brittany of Brooklyn, NY, Colby Leno and wife Nicole of San Francisco, CA and Anthony Leno of Enfield, CT; as well as five grandnieces & six grandnephews.
There are no calling hours. Following cremation, memorial services will be held by the family at a later date. The burial will be in the Better Place Forest in the Berkshires.
