FALL RIVER … Fernand N. “Ben” Rheaume, 96, of Fall River passed away, Thursday, July 21, 2022, peacefully surrounded by family.
He was the widower of Theresa R. (Levesque) Rheaume.
Mr. Rheaume was born in Fall River a son of the late Edmund and Merilda (Bouchard) Rheaume and lived in Fall River all of his life.
He was employed as a supervisor mechanic with H. P. Hood for 25 years retiring in 1974. He was also a proud W.W. II Army veteran. He was a founding member of the Fall River Looms Up Racing Pigeons Club. His hobbies consisted of calling bingo at both Our Lady of Grace and Notre Dame Churches for many years.
Survivors include a son Ronald F. Rheaume and his wife Sandra Ferris Rheaume of Fall River, a daughter Michelle H. ZaJac and her husband Andrew ZaJac of New Hartford, CT, 2 sisters: Lillian Raiche of Fall River, Constance Ouellette of Tiverton, 4 grandchildren: Melanie, Aimee, Renee’, Mathew, 4 great grandchildren: Alex, Alia, Omar, Musa, several nieces and nephews. He was the grandfather of Ryan and had 5 brothers and 3 sisters that predeceased him.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Wednesday, July 27, 2022, at 9:00 A.M. at SOUTH COAST FUNERAL HOME, 1555 Pleasant St., Fall River followed by the Divine Liturgy at 10:00 A.M. at St. Anthony of the Desert Church, 300 North Eastern Ave. Calling hours will be Tuesday, July 26, 2022, from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Interment will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River.
