NEW BEDFORD … We are sad to announce the unexpected passing of Jason R. LaBerge, 44, of New Bedford, Massachusetts, on Thursday, July 14, 2022, at St. Luke’s Hospital. He was surrounded by loved ones when he passed.
Jason was born in New Bedford and raised by his devoted mother, the late Janine K. (Tablas) Zosiak. He lived all of his life in New Bedford, graduated from New Bedford High School, and last worked as a machine operator for the Acushnet Company, Titleist Ball Plant.
Over the years, Jason fought many personal battles and won. He was a kind and spiritual soul who had a talent for buying people the perfect gifts. Jason had a passion for arts and culture and was often seen walking around downtown New Bedford taking creative photographs wherever he could. He loved listening to music, writing, and cooking. He was also an avid New England sports fan. Jason will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
He is survived by his sisters Tammy LaBerge-Levesque and her husband Craig of New Bedford and Lynne LaBerge-Nelson and her husband Curtis of Fall River, daughters Sorelle LaBerge-Hynes and Saige LaBerge-Hynes and their mother Virginia Hynes, father Robert W. LaBerge of Florida, other family members, and his loving girlfriend Cindy Timoteo.
The service will be a private Celebration of Life on August 13th with close family and friends and his ashes will be interned at Pine Grove Cemetery in New Bedford, MA at a future date.
