Gary P. DeMinico of Malden passed away peacefully on July 20th after a courageous battle with a long illness. He was 69 years old.
Born in Winchester, Gary was raised in Malden where he spent most of his life. He worked at Converse Rubber and the Malden Evening News for many years. His beautiful photographs were often featured in the newspaper. He also worked in the maintenance department at the Melrose Wakefield Hospital and Shriners Children’s Hospital in Boston prior to his retirement.
Gary loved to sing and was known for his beautiful voice. Throughout the years, he entertained countless audiences with his wonderful talent. He enjoyed photography and spending time with family and friends. Gary showed bravery in his fight against his illness for many years.
He will be dearly missed.
Gary was the son of the late Mildred (Gobbeo) and Alfred F. DeMinico, Sr. and the brother of the late Alfred F. DeMinico, Jr. He is survived by his sister-in-law, Nancy DeMinico, of Melrose, and nieces Lauren and Kristen and their families. Gary is also survived by his cousins, Connie Bettis and Alfred Santosuosso, and many friends, especially his close and cherished friend, Kenny.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 23, 2022 at 10:00 am at Calvary Cemetery in Winchester. Family and friends are welcome to attend.
