Michael Oliver (MO) Abell, 69, of Fitzgerald, GA, passed away on July 14, 2022 in Ventura, California.
MO was born in Muscogee County to Betty Jean and Harry Abell on September 8, 1952. In 1970 he graduated from Fitzgerald High School. He went on to earn an Associates Degree from Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College where he also played on the college baseball team. Until retirement, MO worked as an engineer for CSX railroad. He enjoyed music, movies, crossword puzzles, cracking jokes, and making people smile.
He is survived by his daughter Roxanne Olivia Abell of Oxnard, CA; son Alexander Oliver (Annika) Abell of Knoxville, TN; granddaughter Avie Abell of Knoxville, TN; mother Betty Jean Abell of Fitzgerald, GA; brother Milton (Twinkle) Abell; nephew Adam Abell; nephew Franklin (Penny) Abell; niece Alison Abell; sister Linda (Tommy) Hatcher; niece Erin (Chuck) Spinks; niece Anna (Burt) Barns; nephew Luke (Jenny) Hatcher; brother Andy (Tracy) Abell; nephew Blake Abell; and niece Madison Abell; MO is reunited in heaven with his wife Susan Abell and his father Harry Milton Abell.
