Katherine R. Cooper, 61, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, passed away Sunday, July 17, 2022, at Memorial Health in Savannah, Georgia.
Memorial services will be held 2 PM, Saturday, July 23, 2022, at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald, Georgia. Interment will be private. The family will greet friends following the services at the funeral home.
Ms. Cooper was born October 14, 1960, in Fayetteville, North Carolina, to the late William T. & Florence Davis Stepp. She was a graduate of Fitzgerald High School and later attended the University of Georgia. Ms. Stepp was an administrative assistant for multiple companies through the years and also owned and operated a small business for animals while living in Atlanta. She was passionate about animals and offered her time to care for and save them. She loved cooking and entertaining for her family and friends. She was a Christian and never missed her daily devotional.
She is survived by her son and his wife, Blake & Sarah Rouse; two granddaughters: London Rouse and Siena Rouse; a brother, Bill Stepp; two nieces: Jessica Stepp and Randi Brewer and a nephew, Tommy Stepp and their families. She will be dearly missed.
