Obituary

HUDSON, NH Kimberly A. ‘Kim’ (Wesson) Welch, 61, of Hudson, NH, passed away Friday, July 15, 2022, at Lowell General Hospital after a brief battle with cancer. She was the beloved wife to William B. Welch, with whom she celebrated their 27th wedding anniversary this New Years Day.

A daughter of the late McKinley Wesson, Jr. and the late Janett (Ray) Wesson, she was born June 15, 1961, in Youngstown, Ohio and was raised and educated in the Lowell area, graduating from Lowell High School, Class of 1979.

Kim worked for the Housing Authority in Methuen for 10 years, then for Lowell Housing Authority for 10 years, and was currently employed with the Ayer Housing Authority where she had worked for more than 20 years, continuously working for Ken Martin who became a close friend over the years. In the 1990’s she opened the Country Village Candle and Gift Shop in Westford which she owned and operated for seven years.

Family was her priority and she loved spending time with family, especially summering in the White Mountains in Lincoln, NH. In addition, she loved singing and shopping, especially with her daughter KiKi.

In addition to her loving husband, Bill, she is survived by her daughter and son in law, Kianna ‘Kiki’ Welch and Edgard Ramos of Lowell; her step daughter, Megan Welch of Dracut; her brothers and sisters, Kenneth DuBose and his wife, Ruthie, of Phoenix, AZ, her “nurse”, Vernetta DuBose of Bonita Springs, FL, Rhonda Pridgen of Lowell, Anthony DuBose of Lowell, Sandra DuBose of Phoenix, AZ, and J. McKinley Wesson of Lowell; her brothers in law, James Welch and his longtime companion, Michelle Duclos of Lowell and David and Debra Welch of Westford; as well as many nieces and nephews; her closest friends, Michelle Bibeau and Gloria Lopez; and her mother in law, Evelyn Bemis of Londonderry, NH. Additionally, she is survived by her 3 godchildren, Evan Chateauneuf, Ashley Cote, and Alissa Wesson.

At her request, a celebration of Kim’s life will be held at a later date, which we will announce in this obituary when the dates and times are determined.
