BROOKFIELD/SPENCER: Michael J. Drab,73, of Brookfield and formerly of Spencer, died Saturday, July 16th surrounded by his loving family at home.
He leaves his wife and soulmate of 33 years, Brenda L. (Brown) Drab, his children; J Robert Kitteredge of Conn, Francis Frigon and Alicia Norman of Spencer, Sonya Carlson of Southbridge and Mandi Mutlick of Brookfield with whom he lived, He also leaves;
Michael, Robert and George Kittredge and Michelle Hazelwood , sisters; Anne Irwin of Shrewsbury and Debbie Drab of No.Brookfield, 18 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his daughters Valerie and Eliza Kittredge. The family would like to thank Dr. Jennifer Yates for her compassionate care of Mike during his illness.
Born in Worcester, he was the son of John M. and Gertrude (Lacroix) Drab and lived most of his life in Spencer. He was a construction worker for many years prior to retirement. He was an Honorary Life Member of the Spencer Fish & Game Club. He enjoyed trips to the casino and fishing. Most of all he loved to be home spending time with his family and playing with his grandchildren. He openly expressed his happiness of his granddaughter Chantelle's recent engagement.
At his request, no funeral services are planned at this time. A celebration of his life will be held by his family with a date to be determined. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Second Chance Animal Services, P.O. 136, E.Brookfield, MA. 01515.
