Jeanette (Auch) Guzman, formally of Charlestown, passed away at her home in Sarasota Florida on July 14, 2022 after a long courageous battle with cancer.
Jeanette was educated in Boston and earned an Associates Degree in Nursing at BHCC. She continued her education at Mass College of Pharmacy where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). She was selfless, dedicating 30+ years to her patients at Mass General Hospital and the VA until her retirement in 2008. She was also a member of the Charlestown Lion’s Club.
Jeanette is survived by her husband Joseph A. Guzman, daughter Jeanette Prendable, pre-deceased son Edward H. Prendable and his surviving wife Linda. She is the Grandma of Michael and Sylwia and Mark and Alicia Prendable, Casey and Zack Allen. G.G. of Carly Allen, Olivia, Ethan and Noah Prendable. Jeanette is the beloved daughter of the late Mary Etna Zlock (Campbell) and Francis Zlock. Loving sister of Harold Auch and his wife Beverly. The late Joseph and his wife Babsy, Bernard and his wife Joan, Lawrence and his wife Monica Auch, Jennifer Auch, Theresa and her husband Paul Olichia, Bernadine and her husband Vinnie DeAngelo, Edna and her husband Al Hanscom, Ruth and her husband Eddie Corros, and Dorothea Pennucci. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews who she loved dearly. Jeanette held a special place in her heart for her niece Diane Sacchetti who she called her second daughter and for Richard Allen who she called her favorite son in law.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Jeanette's visiting hours on Saturday morning, July 23, 2022 from 9 A.M. to 11 A.M. in The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown followed by her Funeral Mass in St. Mary's Church, 55 Warren St. Charlestown at 11:30 A.M. Her burial will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery in Malden.
