Dolores G. “Del” (Zager) O’Halloran, age 91, of Malden, formerly of Medford, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 14, surrounded by her family. Born in Medford, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Garbarino) Zager of the North End. Beloved wife of the late John J. O’Halloran “Jack”’, she was also predeceased by her dear sister Gloria Spatafore.
The devoted mother of John “Jay”, Mary, Mark and his wife Maria, Geralyn and her husband Robert, Nancy and Kristin, she was a special aunt to Mary (Fusco) Adler and her husband Louis. The beloved sister of Eleanor O’Neil, she is also survived by her eleven grandchildren: Justin, Ryan and his wife Samantha, and John O’Halloran, Jaclyn and her husband Dante Carrillo, Caitlyn O’Halloran, Erika, Robert, and John Keane, Samuel, Matthew, and Hannah Adler and her great grandson Lucas O’Halloran. She also leaves her loving nieces and nephews.
Her passion in her life was her family, in her abiding, loving manner- faithful in her gentle way, always there to encourage, support and inspire. She was a model of resiliency and bravery. To her children she was the rock of the family, her foundation built upon her strong and unwavering belief in her Catholic faith. To her grandchildren she was their Nana, their Nani, warm and embracing. She had a caring disposition and a heart of gold. She was the best mother, loving grandmother, devoted sister and friend, and will be missed by all.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Wednesday July 20th from 9 – 11 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated in the Immaculate Conception Church 600 Pleasant St., Malden at 11:30 AM. Services will conclude with burial Oak Grove Cemetery.
