Thomas H. McNeill, Jr. passed away on July 13, 2022 surrounded by his loving family after a long battle with gastric cancer.
He is survived by his parents Thomas H. McNeill, Sr. and Mary Gail Meehan McNeill of Syracuse, NY. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his three loving and devoted sisters Melinda McNeill, Syracuse, NY, Kelly (Bill) Schoeneck, Boston, MA, and Stacey McNeill, Ithaca, NY, three nephews Will, Andrew, and Matthew, and aunts, uncles, and cousins.
To have not known Tommy is its own tragedy, as he brought so much love, laughter & joy to all those he met. While his body betrayed him in the end, he made good use of it before his illness. He had an adventurous spirit. He loved to travel, ski, golf, and fish.
He was a “foodie” at heart. His depth of knowledge for all things food, wine, spirits and his innate ability to connect with people translated to a successful career in hospitality with local companies like Bevspot, Toast and FamilyMeal.
Visiting hours will be held at the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 1305 Highland Ave., Needham on Thursday, July 21 from 4-7pm. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Burial will be in Lafayette, NY at a later date.
