EAST LONGMEADOW - Kyle S. Humphries, 29, of East Longmeadow, was called safely home on Thursday, July 7, 2022. He passed into eternal life at Brigham & Women's Hospital in Boston after a courageous battle with cancer surrounded by the care and comfort of his loving family. He was born in Springfield on February 6, 1993, a beloved son of Lynne A. (Waryasz) Humphries of East Longmeadow and W. Scott Humphries of Hampden. He was raised in East Longmeadow and graduated from East Longmeadow High School in 2011. He furthered his education and received a Bachelor's Degree in Management from Rhode Island College in Providence, Rhode Island. He was employed as a bartender at the former Collegian Court Restaurant in Chicopee and Carregan's in Springfield. During his leisure time, he enjoyed playing sports, hiking, rock climbing and gaming. Kyle excelled at sports, especially wrestling, football and snowboarding. You could often find him coaching his siblings’ youth wrestling teams and at Mount Snow on the weekends. He loved to travel and visit new places with family and friends. Kyle’s love of life, his smile, and laugh were infectious to all who had the privilege of knowing him. In addition to his parents, he leaves his brother, Connor R. Humphries of East Longmeadow, brother Elliott W. Humphries and sister Carson J. Humphries, both of Hampden; his maternal grandparents, Richard O. and Jean R. (Young) Waryasz of Feeding Hills; his stepmother, Elizabeth (Giza) Humphries of Hampden; his longtime partner, Michell F. Muzichuk of Enfield, CT; and his many aunts, uncles, cousins, numerous friends and extended family members. He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, William and Gail (Bradley) Humphries; and his uncle, Craig O. Waryasz. His relatives will receive friends on Friday, July 29, 2022 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. followed by a Memorial Service at 7 p.m. at Cedar's at Saint Anthony Maronite Catholic Church, 375 Island Pond Road, Springfield, MA 01118. His funeral arrangements are entrusted to the St. Pierre-Phaneuf Springfield Chapels, (413-737-1177), 7 Chapin Terrace, Springfield, MA 01107.
