WEBSTER – Edwina E. Holewa, 73, formerly of Dudley, died Wednesday, July 13, 2022 in Webster Manor after a period of declining health.
She leaves a son, William F. Borowski and his wife Cindy of Charlton; a daughter, Michelle Borowski; 3 grandchildren, Gianna, Michael and Angelina Borowski; a brother, Joseph Holewa and his wife Judy of Charlton and their children Laura Holewa, Colleen Holewa, Caitlin Rickaby and Brian Kiley; nieces and nephews.
She was born on April 9, 1949 in Worcester and raised in Dudley, the daughter of Edwin E. and Winifred K. “Winnie” (Markuski) Holewa. She graduated from Bartlett High School in 1967 and attended Worcester State College. She lived in Dudley for most of her life and then at Christopher Heights in Webster for several years.
Edwina was a receptionist in the administration department at Hubbard Regional Hospital. She also worked in the tax department of the Town of Dudley for many years.
She was a communicant of Saint Andrew Bobola Church in Dudley. She enjoyed reading and Motown music.
Her funeral will be held Monday, July 18, at 10:00 AM in Saint Andrew Bobola Church, 54 West Main Street, Dudley (please meet at the church). Burial will be in Saint Joseph Garden of Peace. Donations in her name may be made to the Second Chance Animal Shelter, 372 North Main Street, North Brookfield, MA 01535. Arrangements are under the direction of Scanlon Funeral Service, 38 East Main Street, Webster.
