Frank P. “Brownie” Kelley, age 79, of Medford passed away on Wednesday, July 13th. Born and raised in Cambridge, he was the son of the late Terrence and Catherine (McCarthy) Kelley. Frank moved to Medford when he married in 1974, and worked for many years at Western Electric. He was later employed as a bus driver for the MBTA.
Frank loved spending time at his family’s beach house in Marshfield. He also enjoyed horse racing, baseball, wrestling and discussing the daily lottery number with his brother, Jim.
Frank was the beloved husband of Rosemarie (Morello) Kelley, and the devoted father of Brian Kelley, Lauren Kelley and her boyfriend Tim Barrett, and the late Michael Kelley. He was the loving grandfather of Amanda Kelley, and the dear brother of the late Joe, Jeanne, Jack and Jim. Frank is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours have been respectfully omitted. A memorial mass for Frank, and for his late son Michael, will be celebrated in St. Raphael Church, 512 High St., Medford, on Friday, July 22nd at 9:30 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
